A: Two-Part Answer:
Part 1: If you are purchasing or have purchased our natural pecan halves or pieces ( 8 oz, 6 oz, 16 oz retail pack) our pecans are free from any allergens other than pecans.
Part 2: If you are, however, thinking of purchasing any of our candied varieties through our store website, those are processed at a facility where allergens may be present.
A: This depends on the type of product. Organic = no pesticides are used, natural pest management in the form of green lacewing beneficial insects are utilized to control the aphid population. Watch Video. As an assurance, all our conventional pecans are thoroughly tested for pesticide residues and they fall within specification (i.e. no residues are detected)
A: As stewards of the land, we keep the sake of the environment and surrounding community at the forefront of our consideration for all aspects of farming. Wind and other climate conditions are factored into all application plans when any form of chemical is involved. We respect buffer zones to mitigate drift from one field onto another. And only apply when and what is necessary to promote a healthy orchard.

In Arizona, your local Bashas’ store will carry our pecans.
A: No, due to food safety and public liability concerns our orchards are private property and the public is not able to access the orchard.
The exception to this rule is our annual Sahuarita Pecan Festival, where we offer a tour of part of the orchard close to the festivities during our hayride. This enables the public to get fully immersed in the trees, while learning about our harvest process. Get in line early as this is our most popular festival event.
A: Yes, we collect the wood into a yard located just West of our Administration office at 1525 E. Sahuarita Rd. and allow it to dry and age until early September of each year.
We begin wood sales on Labor Day Weekend and it continues until the wood supply is exhausted. The lot is open each Saturday and Sunday between 7AM – 3PM (closed holidays). Cash and check only accepted. Please call for current pricing @ 520-791-2852.
The wood is loaded by you, the lot attendee will measure it by cubic foot, and charge accordingly. Remember to bring a set of gloves and a strong back. Once the weather turns cold, traffic increases, so please come early in the season for the best selection. Watch video
