Chocolate Pecan Pie
Ingredients:
2 Squares (1 oz. Each) unsweetened chocolate
3 Tablespoons butter
1 Cup light corn syrup
3/4 Cup sugar
3 Eggs
1/2 Teaspoon salt
1 Teaspoon salt
1 Teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 Cups Green Valley brand Pecans (chopped)
9-inch pastry shell (unbaked)
Green Valley brand Pecan halves for decorations
Melt chocolate and butter in a double boiler. Simmer sugar and corn syrup for 2 minutes in a separate pan. Add chocolate mixture to syrup mixture and cool. Add salt to slightly beaten eggs and combine with syrup mixture stirring constantly. Blend in vanilla and Pecans. Pour into unbaked pastry shell. Top with pecan halves. Bake for 35 minutes in preheated 375° oven.
